Mac Allister is never a defensive midfielder.

Playing TTA as an inside fullback is one thing, doing it with Joe Gomez is unfathomable. That is on Jurgen.
That's what happens when for 6 years+ you refuse to buy proper defensive fullback cover for that right flank and instead choose to rely on the walking brainfart-waiting-to-happen as your cover and alternative to the starter.

How many years have we been sayin we need a proper traditional "defend-first" fullback for that side for occassions such as these, and also for the frequent days Trent is having one of his "Trent days"?

Fair enough if he didn't, but Endo is available and bossed it against Germany - surely he would have been a better shout than a lad who needed oxygen mid-week at over 11,000 feet? I'm bewildered by it. I didn't want South American outfield starters but Mac Allister was definitely THE player not to use today.

I wonder if anything will be said about the amount of early kick offs we've had ( and we have the next one)? Even Jenas said something needs to done about it.

Gomez is more than capable as being that player.

There's absolutely ZERO need for him to be dropping into midfield. ZERO.

At least Quansah has looked alright. Don't think he has put a foot wrong.

Its a piss take, but its the thing that "happens" with you.. its like your having it. because we are giving your opponents a better chance of beating you.. If Man-city were at home to Wolves it would be a 1230 kick off. but city would have an home fixture
