Chelsea with an outside chance of 6th on 51 points
Man Utd (54 points) have to play Arsenal and Newcastle, who are on 53 points
From reports I’ve seen on Slot he plays an attacking game that often takes this shape & positions
Keeper
RCB______LCB
RFB RCM LCM LFB
ACM
LFWD CFWD RFWD
They play with good variation Play the ball when it’s on rather than another safe pass And as part of their overall game they do try & work it to the touchline in wide areas & pick out players with cut backs like City in some passages of play From reels of several players there’s a healthy mixture of well drilled link ups & signature moves of short & more direct passing, whatever’s on
He has the variation of passes from the full backs I wanted in our evolution of Robbo & Trent both play some belters
They work the channels well opening & closing them to try & release players through them with quality passes or short crosses from the deeper inside full back positions when forward & their mids & full backs have a good variety of passes
Or release their LFWD RFWD wide supported by LCM RCM LFB or RFB
How on earth did we lose to this dross.
Because they raised their game to play the best 90 minutes of their last three or four seasons
The ref giving them free kicks for no contact. kinda helped. anyway 3 decades without silverware not even a eggcup
Cleaning up the Scots since the 13th century
And that, some absolutely shocking officiating .. just for a change
They are very devious, they only know what fouls are when they decide through bias what fouls are. .Macca can have ridiculous challenge above the ankle, and its not a free kick and yet... an opposition player can run into our player and fall over and its a free kick.
The only reason we are not allowed to listen to live conversations between the on field ref and those on the VAR. is because we'd hear the cheating going on. Otherwise there'd be no reason not to listen too it.
