We will have to be very good to win it even though we are favourites.
It's a pretty strong Tournament. Hopefully we can lift it and the League but it's a long old season with twists and turns to come.

Just looking at the history of the club we played this evening Union Saint-Gilloise. they are top of the Belgian league and may win their first top league division title since 1934/35 season. almost 90 years. I hope they manage it

One of those matches where we were...

    - Second to every contested ball
    - Passes through the middle always a bit too hard or too soft meaning they won it back
    - Passed to the wings not fizzed in or curled so the full-back could intercept

...that sort of thing. Didn't have enormous expectations with the mish-mash line-up but it was a great opportunity for some players to show Klopp what they are about and I don't think anyone took advantage of the opportunity.

Alonso Leverkusen in the final? They are flying it in the German league.
This competition will be hard to win.

It will. There's some very good sides still there even outside of the CL teams who'll be getting their unfair bite at the cherry.
I've honestly not paid much attention to it since we got to the final that year but it's an odd setup with that second rd that gets played for the CL teams and second placed group teams. That's played in Feb so we don't play again until march. It's a good rest.

It's as convoluted as it gets! Though wait until you see what's instore for next season. That will fry people's brains...

Correct, a nice good rest from this one, but plenty of other games to come. Hopefully an upgrade or 2 in January as well for an all out assault on the trophies.

Might sound harsh but none of the young lads.. that certain posters think can cover fine if we have a few injury's are upto it or I see anything in them

Thought doak was meant to be good? I know he's still young blabla but shown nothing in these games.

Like i've mentioned the under teams are nothing special, sad really not sure what's gone wrong... we should be doing better in the youth department.

also if people think endo being the #1 DM... yeah title here we come
