    Your team v Arsenal

After an abject finishing display against Man United a lot of Reds were nervous about this match and the Arsenal match - and to be fair, quite understandably so - the red half of Manchester aren't a good side right now.

Still - the gauntlet was laid down for the Reds to perform in the Cup on their mission for a record 10th lift of the trophy and by God did they perform in their 5-1 win.

Onto Arsenal then - first v second at Anfield - what can the Reds conjure? Selection headaches aplenty, which is welcome.

    .......................Alisson

    Trent......Konate...Van Dijk...Tsimikas

    .........................Endo

    ..............Szoboszlai.......Jones

    .....Salah...........Gakpo......Núñez

If Trent was picked at the base of midfield with Gomez at right-back I would be happy with that too., though it may not be the match for experimentation.

I'm so glad, that Jürgen is a Red. I am also quite drunk, though autocorrect on a phone means my traditional xjshfobefi post hasn't occured - really should have typed from a PC for the amusement of the forum.

Hope everyone is in good form!

That's were I'd have Trent from the start . Though I'd have Diaz on for Nunez out left.

Yeah if that comes out I would be happy enough - perhaps a bit apprehensive about conceding chances on the counter but quite like the idea of it in attack for us.

Confident after tonight, arsenal will be more open than utd for example

Just frustrating we couldn't beat a very poor Utd..... you telling me west ham was much worse, or even the team they had out?

I was at work for both, so only going off short highlights

Well why didn't we do it at the weekend

    decided to show up??

Title was/is a long shot anyway this season, I didn't expect us to win it or really challenge, but if we didn't drop pts against those we should really have won, we'd be flying.
