    Liverpool XI v Arsenal

    Alisson

    TAA Konate, Van Dijk, Tsimikas

    Szoboszlai Endo Jones

    Salah, Gakpo, Diaz.

Subs: Kelleher, Gomez, Nunez, Elliott, Gravenberch, Clark, McConnell, Quansah, Bradley

Rather have seen Nunez wide left and Gomez at RB with Trent at 6. I’ve gone for 2-2

I think we lose this unfortunately. Still a side in transition with a whole new midfield and weakened defence. Add to that our forwards have struggled a bit of late.

I think I went for 10-of-11 of those if memory serves, with me wanting Núñez rather than Gakpo.

Fingers tightly crossed for today. We are capable of good things - however so are they.

Hope Anfield is in good voice - can make such a difference.

Arsenal have a full strength side out, Rice has made a huge difference to them, they look much more balanced than us.

Two of our three midfield aren’t first choice, neither is our left back with Saka to deal with.

23 years ago to this day I watched us at Anfield demolish them 4-0 and I expect nothing less today as an early gift from Pere Noel.

Just looking at that line up and it shows how much we've changed in a couple of seasons and we're still pushing for the top.

I don’t want to hear any bitching from ArTITA he has pretty much full strength squad to choose from. It’s Rice versus Endo. Let’s hope we have a great atmosphere & get them on the ropes. Arsenal in the past bottle it, let’s hope it happens today.
