Mac Allister on the bench is encouraging, though we had best not rush him back if it can be avoided.

    My team was -

    .......................Alisson

    Trent......Konate....Van Dijk....Gomez

    ........................Endo

    ...........Szoboszlai.....Jones

    ....Salah..........Gakpo.......Núñez

    - though I am perfectly happy to see Diaz getting played. Hopefully has one of his better performances.

    Come on Reds!

Diaz is under a bit of pressure to deliver far more threat, first assist for a long long time in the last game.

Hoping all four strikers get more focused on finishing off the numerous excellent chances they have been passing by, while Mo’s away, all need to be sharper.

Disappointing to see Diaz starting again & Nunez playing at No9 rather then LFWD I really want to see Jones have another crack at LCM with Nunez at LFWD again as Nunez runs in behind & greater power & strength made space for him to have his best ever game for us

Let’s get the win and another absolutely vital 3 points here tonight

We have looked better with Nunez on the left. Gakpo should have started down the middle for an hour, then Jota could have come on.
