That shot he just had from a wide angle that grazed the post on the far side that everyone was creaming themselves about should have been a cross since he had two teammates in much better positions for higher percentage shots on the other side to receive the cross.
He does stuff like that (which are not good considering), and then everyone forgets the boneheaded stuff like giving the ball right back to the Toon when under no pressure and almost gifting them the chance to score their first goal.
Virg really let him hear it after that. And rightly so.

We need some longer studs on a few lads and we need a few calmer heads on some of our players that want to kick off when decisions don't go our way.
Absolutely understand their frustration given the ref's decisions - I do - but you have to suck it up and create another chance quickly - not get needlessly booked.
The main thing to be encouraged by is despite the 0-0, we are creating a lot. Calmer heads and a clinical finish may be all it takes - a nervy 1-0 is very possible here and we won't give a shit in a few weeks time provided we have 3 points in the bag.
