Yeah we've definitely seen a change the last few games,Jozza made the point last night that the tempo has increased. Like they've actually realised they are more capable than they thought.
All we can do is take care of our own business and we are doing that now. Hopefully we can see out Jan and early Feb without Salah and Endo and still keep getting results.

A shame that, but someone else will have to step up and get on engine-room duty.

Full credit to the lads last night. The tension before the game was palpable… it felt more like a champions league semi final. The physical and mental strength required at this level is huge, and let’s not forget that this is a team in transition. The conditions were also appalling.

We’re very quick to criticise the team, but no one else has done better. We made hard work of it last night, but never stopped pushing.

Perfect summary. Newcastle can be thankful they weren’t bummed into next year (2025) never mind this…

Indeed - if players are to be injured this season then January looks like the "best" time so-to-speak provided it isn't too many lads out at once.

Represents an opportunity for the likes of Gravenberch and Elliott.

Our attacking play 2nd half was easily our best in a long time. Typical us to lose our best player just when we have started to click .
