    Why is winning not enough?

More than one way to kill a side off Kev.

We don't need a 5-0 to psychologically constrict them like a Boa.

We've just beaten Arsenal 2-0 at the Emirates. Absolutely true that we rode some luck and also fair that one was an own goal - but the quality of Trent's delivery makes it.

A 2-0 win at Anfield leaves them in a position where they need to come at us in the second leg and our capacity to counter-attack will inhibit their bravery on the ball. One false move and we can make it 3-0 on aggregate before half-time of the second leg and have a boring-but-sensible second half of the second leg and reach a Final.

The poor buggers have to get past Alisson, Konate is in form and Van Dijk (if he is over his illness come Wednesday night) looks the best he has since the Pickford incident.

Unless we shoot ourselves in the foot (entirely possible) during the first leg, I would far rather be us.

EFL website: "To maintain fairness and consistency, VAR technology will not be used in the Carabao Cup semi-final stage this season." LMFAO

Keep clean sheet is all we need, knockout football is a different beast would take a nil draw at home as we would destroy them at theirs

Probably be missing 7 plus 3 first choice back ups, getting to critical mass stage here …

Bradley in for TAA. Quansah in for VVD if he isn't fit.

    Allisson
    Bradley - Konate - VVD - Gomez
Gravenberch - Mac Allister - Jones
    Diaz - Jota - Nunez
    Something, Something, Something, Dark Side

A view from a Fulham fan forum:

Screw it - here's the optimistic in me. We're winning this aren't we? Their two main sources of goals/assists are out, no left backs, no right backs, Van Dijk is sick, their midfield is weakened, they'll probably play their 2nd choice keeper, Nunez can't hit a barn door, they've had two less days rest than us, and we're at full strength and coming off an easy cup game and a good win.
