There was a quick shot of three lads and one in the background - I think it was Jones, Gakpo and Núñez celebrating and Diaz in softer focus within the frame - and it was a little surreal (in a good way) to see a group of players celebrating that didn't include any of Salah, Mane or Firmino - delighted Salah is still here of course (long may he reign) but those occasional reminders that we will be fine after player X leaves (whether it's Dalglish, Rush, Fowler, Owen, Torres, Suarez, Mane, Firmino or eventually Salah) are healthy to encounter.

Anyway, another comeback, another win - and if we can manage to score first in the second leg we can get Fulham absolutely where we want them.

I hated seeing him start so much last season. Think he's improved a fair bit over the summer. Decent squaddie to have around.

Made up for Jones. Local lad, really down to earth. Quality - coming out of his shell and now adding belief

22 yrs of age so still a kid. And his past seasons were exactly that a kid coming into first team football. But now as his games pile up and he no longer plays cameos or in out of the team has allowed us to see the full range of what he brings. Playing for Klopp obviously demands hard work, running, attitude, belief, selflessness. So the fact that he is getting more and more games means Klopp is trusting him and seeing these attributes. I am also very happy for Jones.

Harvey Elliot is 20. So if Klopp has been giving him chance for 3 seasons that means from age 18. Elliot is not setting it alight but for now I consider him a squad player. And Klopp playing him in midfield is Klopp seeing something or wanting something, but Klopp is patient enough and that is why he doesn't play all 63 games a season. Elliot for now is a 20 yr old kid who is ahead of other kids in terms of development that is why we scrutinizing him in a different light from Clark/Bradley who he could still play with at U23's/U21 level.

So for now he is a squad player, you want a squad player to help when others need a rest or are injured. Also he has come on in games and was the reason we won this season. So let us give the boy a chance. He could be here another 10 yrs and we could all be shocked when his matured self matches his obvious prodigy talent.
