Oh. And some of us NEVER liked him.....

Impossible as that may seem for some. Mind blowing isn't it..

He's loyal to the club and it wouldn't be his style BUT let's see what Klopp has to about him...a few years down the road.

Well, he's not going to have Klopp around to take all the slings and arrows for all our transfer market failings anymore, so whoever he picks as the new manager better have a thick skin.

Yes where he doesn’t have to pay 40% tax

I’d never trust Alonso not to ditch us & leave us in the lurch like hr did as a player anyway

He didn't leave us in the lurch he was sold..anyhow from my recollection not a lot of fans rated him until his last year with us
    That's what i recall anyway.
Like i say,. if players don't wanna come or don't wanna stay with LFC. then don't come or don't stay. same with managers if they prefer other places then fuck off there..

He was leaving us for a bigger club in his homeland and a bigger paycheck.
And he didn't do it in a shithead way like downing tools or refusing to train to force the move.

Why would anyone ever begrudge him or any other player an opportunity like that?

If he’s as good as he and Edwards think he is, then all good.

What can possibly go wrong …….
I am quite relaxed about us going forward.

We have a pretty good squad, plus any drop-off is from tired-Klopp to the new Manager, rather than peak-Klopp to the new Manager, which, whilst still very shit, isn't like going from our insane peak to someone else.

Also a number of sides aren't as far along with their "projects" or squad-builds as they would be have liked - fans of Newcastle, Chelsea and Man United would have expected a little more, plus sides like Villa and Tottenham are still a bit behind us right now, though striving. I could see Man United improving a bit in the short-term if they got someone like Tuchel but we are still some way ahead unless the next Manager is really poor.

I don't think we will win a title in the new Manager's first season but I am (quietly) confident we'll be getting back into the Champion's League again and hopefully can build further from a point where we are stable and the new Manager has instilled his ideas for a full season.

I think 25/26 will likely be better for us than 24/25 but we'll see.

Short-term we hopefully beat Everton tonight and see where we are.
