I'd be surprised if he did another year at Leverkusen. Difficult to emulate this season again and Bayern will be back no doubt. They could lose players too which will make it even harder, if they do win the league he's a legend and hero forever ( which he will obviously be anyway) and bows out at the top.
If he stays another year to wait on Real there's the chance that Leverkusen drop off big due tomorrow having additional CL games and they may consider other candidates.
Personally I think he'll take the chance to go this summer.

I thought FSG already had someone lined up which is why they kept the announcement of Klopp leaving quiet for 2 months.

FSG's priority is building their portfolio.. Right now they are looking to acquire another football (Soccer) club. This is a major factor in why they've re-captured Edwards. This will be his task.

The latest indications are that they are sniffing around South America for their next capture.
