That would be a great number for him. The only way is up. Great infrastructure there (normally)....

He has very little experience as a manager.

His half season or 0.37 years at NEC Nijmegen was not very inspiring.

    He replaced Bogers who'd
    Played 21
    Won 14
    Drawn 4
    Lost 3
    2.19 points per game

    And produced
    Played 22
    Won 11
    Drawn 4
    Lost 7
    1.68 points per game

It's a limited CV and uninspiring to see him take over and the teams results decline as they did.

That's his record as a manager.

In contrast Alonso is a World Cup & Champions League winner as a footballer, which carries gravitas with players, whose had 2 successful stints in management having trained under all the best managers of his era bar Klopp.

He's said to have a strong German influence in his approach, blending peices from many he learnt from and German essentially meaning Klopp in modern times in regards to German football.

By all accounts he played a pivotal role in their squads summer transformation, more of an English football manager than continental coach, and all on a small net spend throughout his tenure to currently sit top of der bundesliga 8 points clear of Bayern with 11 games to play. Second favourite for the EL behind Klopp.

We have a team & squad of players and some great youth players whose talents and abilities have all been honed and developed to playing a way that can win this league who all still have a lot of developing we can do so for me it HAS to be continuity of that
Conte won the league with Chelsea playing a back 3

    Endo
    Elliott
    And loads more.

Sky reporting that Bayern have opened discussions with Alonso and received positive response from initial discussion.

If we miss the boat on this one - I feel we are fooked. Like royally fooked.

FSG minus Klopp = cow dung. Alonso would go some way to softening the blow. And he might just get us playing next level football. His history with the club could be enough to keep continuity with the current crop and a Spanish Paisley isn’t entirely unthinkable

That Amorim guy keeps getting mentioned.
Probably sky Germany reporting the Alonso story.
Agree about Alonso and the football side. Might see a real technician, would be a totally different animal and something that those players would have to adapt to. It's be good though.
