I agree, just as I'm typing Nunez hits the post, he's getting closer.

On Diaz, he's a good player but he's not an inside foward like Mane, Salah or even Nunez. He's more of a winger, which doesn't suit our system as much. Although he links up well within it due to his work rate and skill.

I find the opposite.
I find him to be less of a winger than forward, in that he looks less to go wide or get the cross in, and more tries to go inside and get a shot himself.

Which is somewhat understandable given he doesn't seem to have a very good cross in him.


And as I type this, Diogoals does what DioGoals does......

The man really does step up when Mo is out of town.
Doesn't hide and isn't afraid to take up the mantle.

Not really sure how I feel about the Anfield crowd booing every Caicedo touch of the ball.

While it's understandable, I'd like to think we're past him and it's not like he doesn't get daily reminders that he made a massive mistake with his pick of them over us, or like we need to prove he's beneath us at this point.

For me it's about the runs he makes and the positions he takes up on the pitch. Rarely on the shoulder of the last man or in between the cb and fullback. More often he receives the ball into feet in wide areas and looks to take on his man and shoot or cross.
