I half expected VAR to have it scratched off on account of the fact it went in off of Gabriel's hand, and force us to take the penalty, but I figure they realise to themselves Arsenal would rather give up the goal than give up a goal anyway (through a pen) and a yellow to Gabriel.

    Unbelievable.

Level at half-time despite the lack of cohesion and no actual shots on target.

An absolute gift from the Footballing Gods to be level at half-time.

Now have the option to tackle the next 45 minutes in a different way. If we are concerned about Gomez's yellow then Robertson could go on and if we feel we need to stretch them a bit, Núñez is there.

Thiago is also seemingly miraculously available if we want an alternative to Gravenberch.

Get in. Get the absolute fuck in. Could so easily be 2-0 down and facing a huge body-blow in confidence whereas now we have a chance.

Now begins a 45-50 minute game of football. Wipe the first half from the mind and try to win that mini-match boys.

Throw captain chaos Darwin at that backline. Gakpo back to right side for Gberch. Elliot at some point. Surely a bit quick to bring in Thiago?

Terrible first half except for Gravenberch & Diaz 2 of our worst players on the half combining to force a spawns as fuck equaliser 😂 Get in!

No varistion, no mixing it up, no runs in behind, no intensity we set off with no movement & runners for the mids or defenders on the ball & went from that to all our players running away from our mid on the ball to allow 3 players to crowd them out a happy medium with a least one player making sure there is an option if Arsenal do press them as well as thry have & there are runs that can be released

Over to Jurgen to make sure we’re much better second half & get the win here tonight

Taylor is being a complete dick. every touch is a free kick to them and ignoring any contact on our players

Oh yes - just correcting my ‘Slotaaa’ commentary. but Diaz has been very easy to defend all game.

Great we got a goal but need more from him in a game like this.

We’re lucky to be going in at 1-1 but time to kick on. Nunez, Robertson & Elliott please to inject some heavy metal Football into this game.

    Lazy.

As soon as Bradley feels ready he should be straight back into the side. Trent has been shocking, and I'm usually one of his biggest defenders.
The combination of Bradley's emergence as a proper rightback, and Trent's performance this half with Arsenal directing all their attacks down his flank (successfully most of the time, I might add) should end the debate of moving Trent to the midfield and making that Righback position permanently Conor's.

But Klopp probably will not want to do that or hurt Trent's feelings, but my own view of it is Conor's totally played Trent out of that spot and made it his.

The last game he had Martinelli completely in his pocket and we lost none of the attacking threat from the fullback position with him.
