Possibly yeah - the weight onJota's knee is on the outside of the knee though, so if we are lucky it will be the ICL as it often goes when there is pressure on the outside.

I've badly strained and partially torn mine (it didn't snap totally thankfully) and it's a weird thing in terms of symptoms - I was able to walk (and even run) very quickly, but any major bend of the joint (wanting to perform a squat for example) was an absolute no-no.

In theory (reaching here as it is top-level football) a player like Jota could probably run with it and perhaps strike a ball, but not be involved in tackling whatsoever.

Gut instinct though is that his season is done.
