I watched talksport the other day and Simon Jordan was arguing that all clubs experience bad refereeing shouts and as supporters you only remember the ones that go against your side and forget the ones that go for you…
I can accept this argument, and agree we are all guilty of that, however he then failed to compare like for like.
He proceeded to compare the Forest drop ball mistake by the Ref to the incidences of incorrect penalty calls and the Spurs / Daz farce… which is just a ridiculous comparison.
Firstly, if he had looked at all the post match analysis of the Forest Ref drop ball error, VAR actually made a bigger error and should have spotted the high boot by the Forest player on Konate, and if it had spotted this, it should have actually been a free kick to Liverpool and a yellow card for the Forest player and not a drop ball for Forest.
The Referee drop ball mistake, is just that a mistake, similar to an incorrectly awarded throw-in, but to argue a goal scored over 2 mins later is as a direct result of this error is genuinely stretching it.
On that basis, you can quite legitimately argue that every Refereeing error, significantly and ultimately contributes to the outcome of every game …
But to then compare this mistake, to the two stone wall penalties not awarded against our nearest rivals in the current Title challenge is just laughable at best.
Every team, Liverpool included, have been on the receiving end of lots of poor Refereeing decisions that have gone against us and gone in our favour…, but the evidence is unequivocal, it’s official, we have had more big decisions go against us than any other team and they have all been against our nearest rivals, and it could be argued they have cost us significant points in the process…
A big mistake in a game that doesn't cost you points, is to some extent forgivable, but if it costs you points in the head to heads against your nearest rivals , this is a whole different ball game.
The implications are just massive, if we had received and converted the two stone wall penalties against Arsenal and City, we could be sitting at the top of the table a further 3 points further ahead of both clubs, and that ignores the Chelsea penalty not given and the Spurs / Diaz farce.
The PGMOL should be holding their heads in shame at the monent, because from the very top down, they have failed miserably and are clearly just not good enough, stop re-inventing the rules just enforce the existing ones properly…

The FAPGMOL apologised for VAR not ruling Diaz’s goal v Spurs to stand & for not giving the clear one v Arsenal, it’s not even debatable if VAR have the footage there’s no excuse other than deliberate match fixing & bias for them to get it wrong NONE it’s deliberate
