It is a great achievement, I think those two are both in transition & I never rated Tuchel as a top top manager

Didn’t use so many of his players as they played at their best

Nothing Leverkusen can do about Bayern aside from the games they play them in.
There may be an element of complacency and expectancy from Bayern and Leverkusen have caught them cold but there's no doubt that it's a phenomenal achievement for them.
The big ask now is to try and replicate it whilst juggling CL football.
19s pushing de zerbi as a continuity candidate who primarily plays 4231 or a back3, formations he believes cannot work in our setup. I've asked him how he squares that circle, answer pending.

Tuchel won a European Cup and that token exhibition comp CWC thingy at Chelsea. Look at them now… What happened?

As for Xabi - his Leverkusen are unbeaten in their league - so it’s almost irrelevant who Bayern’s manager is - They have made the league unwinnable for anyone else - they are also on one of the longest ever unbeaten runs in history in Europe’s top flight leagues..

Alonso IS the prime candidate we wanted and he IS the best option for this club - unfortunately, it doesn’t look like it can happen.

    For the record:
    Leverkusen have 79 points from 29 games -25 wins & 0 defeats.

To put that in perspective -
Bayern won the title last season with 71 points & 5 defeats after 34 games and with 77 points and 5 defeats from 34 games in 2022.

Hope they stay unbeaten......... unbeatables in this day and age..... just wow even if it's the german league, some good teams in there still.

Probably for alonso he's peaked in his first season and can't do any better!

They might do it yet too - would be some achievement. They might have been on the lash though since winning a first ever league title in the clubs history,

Remember that unbeaten record isn’t just the league - it includes all domestic cups and Europe.

    43 games….
    39 wins…
    0 defeats.

    …Wow

Exactly it’s a poor league lacking in competition

It has been lacking anyone who could win it in 10 years since Jurgen left. But Strangely Bayern who last managed 3 points more in 34 games than Leverkusen have in 29 were crowned Champions of Europe the same year/. That season finishing with 82 points and 4 defeats.

Hmm... If you are trying to detract from Xabi's achievement I would say that the numbers prove you're struggling
