Following the passing of Ian St John on Monday evening, we pay tribute to the Liverpool legend.
The Scot was a fundamental component in Bill Shankly’s Anfield revolution of the 1960s following his transfer from Motherwell at the start of the decade.
A total of 425 appearances and 118 goals were chalked up over his 10-year spell with the Reds, yielding two league titles and the club’s first ever FA Cup in 1965.
