His contract is up in summer but can get a one year extension if a number of appearances are met.
He is injured anyway I think and no idea when he is back.
I thought it sounded big money for an out of form player, but seems even worse. Needs to show his class fast or Gerrard will be sending him back.

Villa will reportedly pay 65 percent of Coutinho's reported £320,000 weekly wage, while the club also has the option to make the transfer permanent. It's claimed Barcelona have asked for north of £30million for the deal to be made permanent.
