    Fabio Carvalho

So excited to see him play for us.

Interesting little compilation from a match against Man City - naturally opposition sides don't get much possession against them generally speaking, so although his capacity to get shots off around the box isn't well-advertised here, the positions he takes up could be a reasonable indication as to how he will be deployed.

So excited to see him - was excited when Elliott came to us and Carvalho would be further along in his development, so there's plenty to look forward to in the season to come.

Hell of a performance considering his age and the opposition.
Very good in possession, nice combination of keeping the ball while always looking to be progressive.

He really does have a lot going for him.

I think Coutinho comparisons will be drawn but if we let him be his own man and don't bemoan the odd wasted opportunity I think he will grow wonderfully into the squad.

Yep, absolutely brilliant in his day, unfortunately that day has gone. We had the best of him as we have a very happy habit of doing with players.

    Jurgen on Fabio

“When we watched him it was a pure joy to watch him, absolutely. He can play so many different positions for us, the way we play,” the German tactician told liverpoolfc.com.

“At the minute he’s not really set on one position – it’s the wing, it’s the eight, it’s the 10, it’s the false nine if he grows a few more muscles.

“It’s a short-term and a long-term project; he can start tomorrow and he needs to adapt, you can see that a little bit, but when he has the ball that’s proper quality. I’m over the moon that he’s here. Fantastic prospect.”

It means yet further depth for the forward line with the youngster potentially able to rotate with the likes of Diogo Jota and the club’s No.9 up top, in addition to the left-flank where he has enjoyed some success with Fulham.

I know it’s early to say it - but he really does look to be the business

He's another reason all Reds should be excited for next season. There's definitely more verity going into this season than last.
