I remember Ernest Moss, can’t recall Calf as a baby though.

I think the series was Coogans run c.1997 and set in 1950s ish
I will try to dig it up for you Steveo.
As I remember, Mrs calf is pushing a pram down the street in Otley and Ernest says something like 'morning Mrs calf, have you got a name for the baby?' and she replies something like 'I think we will call him Paul'
