well thiago could be back in time for Brighton H and then back out again before City H. hes not even consistently good enough when he's available to offfset the multiple times he's not available. File alonside keita, ox, and now Jones who brittle as well it seems. id try and get ramsay into team and trent into midfield as at least he's not a crock.
Played 12 games without him last season and dropped 13 points. That's Europe league qualifying form... at best - yet we finished within a point of City. He is the best player we have in the midfield - by a distance - but that doesn't say too much. He shouldn't be, and we certainly shouldn't be relying on a guy of his age and consistently poor fitness record. Nobody notices these things as long as the team continues to produce the form it really shouldn't. Klopp manages to get a huge amount out of players but there is a limit.
Putting him alongside Keita and Oxlade however is just bonkers. Field that barnstormer to Klopp and he would laugh you outta town.
im only putting him alongside them in terms of availability as he's getting that way. Yes he's way more gifted but as u say yourself, its still underwhelming. maybe the intensity klopp demands of them leads to this type of injury type and frequency more in the older player's . if thats the case why are our first choice midfield 3 the oldest of the 8 (leaving milner out of this)? we're potentially wasting a season not getting an alternative to that Thoucameni guy. They havent learned from the CB crisis it seems
I concur, he's been a poor signing and has not nearly lived up to what was expected and with Keita and Oxlade both being regular sick notes over 3 prior seasons, it was incredibly foolish, bordering on ridiculous, to let a senior midfielder with an exemplary fitness record leave and sign another sick note, an ageing sick note at that

What’s that you say, 19 - you think Thiago has not been a good signing? You should express some of these thoughts more often
Jurgen seems to think we've nothing to worry about and we won't be signing anyone this summer.
As has been mentioned before to rely on the Ox, Kieta , Thiago and now Jones to stay fit must mean we're going to see alot of Elliot and possibly Carvalho in the midfield more this season.
All hail James Milner, the guy is a machine but how long has them legs got ? Early season I see no problem but its a long drawn out season and Hendo is getting no younger, it's just as well we've got the Fabulous one to rely on.
It gets worse for Gini...
