Back of the net!!!!
Now it's time for a cluster of 5 League games - 4 of which we would normally call "very winnable on paper" - where we really need to get some points chalked up with a view to attempting to gradually close the gap on the European spots. Chelsea are the eventual target. We must come back after the World Cup in a better position and the fight starts against West Ham.
.........................Alisson
Trent.......Gomez.......Van Dijk.....Robertson
.......................Fabinho
..............Henderson......Thiago
......Salah..........Firmino......Núñez
(Assuming Konate is unavailable, assuming Jota is injured and am looking at rotating for the "easier" Nottingham Forest match)

we are liverpool football club, not fucking norwich.
I feel the West Ham result will set the tempo.
Win that and you suddenly go into a game against the lads at the base of the table having beaten Rangers, Man City and West Ham on the spin - all of a sudden we would be thinking about stringing wins together again rather than feeling the weight of the World on us.
It's an enormous game. In a weird sort of way I actually think it's "bigger" than the Man City match though the atmosphere etc won't be anything like the same.
'You can see a little bit that somebody kicks his foot, and maybe the muscle got overstretched, 96 minutes, that's not good for the muscle. He felt it immediately, and now we have to wait to see how bad it is.'
Hope Jota's alright, and just a bit of cramp/shithousery.
He had a great game.
4 key passes, 5 tackles & 1 intercept.
Don't think this is a game for us to move away from our 42X setup. Would benefit w'ham if we do.
No need to rush Trent back, especially v Antonio, Gomez earned another start
Alisson
Gomez Konate Van Dijk Robertson
Thiago Henderson Carvalho
Salah Firmino Nunez
I would be starting Diogo but think it will too soon for him

Dont think we'll be going back to the 4-3-3 for this one. But do think one or two might need a rest after that effort.

TTA - Gomez - VVD - Tsimikas
Hendo - Fab
Elliott - Salah - Nunez - Carvahlo

Kind of a tough 11 to pick, not knowing whose fit. Not much of a clue as to whether Konate is back or not.
Alisson
Gomez Konate VVD Robbo
Trent Hendo Fab Carvalho/Elliot
Salah Bobby
Would like to see Trent on the right side of midfield.
I'd be getting Nunez in off the bench, and telling him to empty the tank.
Be interesting to see what Klopp does, and whose available.
I think a lot of us assumed TTA into midfield will/would happen at some point - ala Bale. I do think it would be worth giving him a go at RW at some point. I just dont think he has the explosiveness of a Bale. Think he'd be a bit more of a Beckham, just whipping crosses in from all positions.
We're not a million miles away from a 3-5-2 with your line up.

I think those that came off the bench will start
Have a feeling nunez will start 100% same as henderson.
