Races for the Champion's League spots are incredibly messy things. I don't think it's "gone" at all - however I do think we have significantly cut into our chances. That was a very poor one.

Been doing it all season. Beat City in the Charity Shield then get off to a poor start in the league. Beat City in the league, lose to Forest. Hammer Utd lost to effin Bournemouth. Those last two were mirror images.

Klopp doesn’t seem to have the answers either.

Klopp needs to sign some brute. Too many midget type players. Lots of kind a midfield kinda attacker, kinda something. And they mostly small.

He also has too many all rounders but no specialists. Too many players that can play multiple positions, as well as him asking them to. Fluidity and adaptability is great when teams don't set up well against you. But when they do u need specialist who will just do their type of thing. E.g a winger who will go around people and cross all day. A 9 who is in the box near the box, a fullback who defends, a DM who breaks it up and passes it. Knows to sit around the centre circle. Even the way he plays Nunez, is Nunez a wide fwd or a 9? Is Gakpo a 9 or wf, Salah played as a 9 or 10 this season. Is Trent a RB? Is Henderson a 6, a 8 a 10? What is Elliot a 8, 10, 11? Jota was at his best as a 9. When he uscwide always wants to come inside.

Or else he needs to flush his teams quicker to bring I newer pressing machines.

Elliot is the new favorite of Jurgen Klopp.

Agree. But Spurs have to keep matching our inconsisteny and then we have City, Arsenal, Spurs and I think Chelsea twice. On form we could lose all 5.

So losing today might be massive.

We need some abrasive athletic midfielders and another full back , it’s getting so ridiculous now , there are no Answers, regurgitating the same type of performance every other week, VVD worst performance in a long time , Harvey Elliot is not a midfielder , big missed opportunity that was

Well deserved Cherries win, better team, would have been harsh not to get 3 points.
Fought for every ball, closed us down, allowed us to criss cross passes in front of them, waited for errors then raced into space causing better open chances.
Possibly won every 50/50 contested ball, stayed in position allowed the ball to be forced wide, made us consistently play back through closing us down. Did not force challenges rather let us have possession till we made a bad pass.
They tried and almost succeeded in exposing our two at the back setup we use when dominating possession.
A good game to anylise, to learn good technique against superior teams , a horrible game to understand from our perspective.
We had appalling movement regarding passing, closing them down, making runs, making space for shots.
Why oh why do we flick the ball rather than pass, why scoop the ball forward, why force the ball to the wings and not cross.?
We have to stop trying to tackle using the wrong foot, we need to stop flicking a toe at the ball to contest a 50/50.
We could have scored 5 there on another day because we dominated possession , we would be praising ourselves for winning, but that would mask the underlying problems we have.

If we take any one of the dozen chances in the first 20 it's a different result. VVD missing a header from 5 yards, Mo missing a penalty. One of those days.

Boys are letting Klopp down tbh. Even if he drop Vsn Dijk, Matip will perform and then howler. Gomez for Trent same story. Hendo goes out of line up Toda snd not that he is giving his best season, he is probably the best of our non existent mid, yes the new kid done well few games. But exactly that. Hendo changed the 3 that played then do nothing.

So overall I felt that Klopp has lost his dressing room. Though not entirely as last couple of results have been good. But effort wise it is terrible, besides Nunez and Gakpo not form but effort these are the 2 workers recently and Bacetic, Konate been injured so also a new face, Robbo works hard as well but his quality maybe needs to work hard on that.

Perhaps I am utterly deluded, but I don't worry about the results in those games listed anything like as much as I would about away ties to sides placed lower down.

We have the ability and the habit of raising our game. I am quietly confident about some of those matches ahead, I really am. Where my confidence wanes is the likes of going away to Leeds, away to West Ham, away to Leicester and away to Southampton.

You can quote me on this later in the season if you like (if I'm wrong I'm wrong, couldn't care less) but I fancy us to get more points from the matches you've listed than the ones I have - purely because of this game-raising tendency we have.

Not a good take. We had 70% possession to 30%. 15 shots to their 5. 6 shots on target to their 2. We missed a penalty and several other good chances. There is no way they were the better team.
