In the overall grand scheme of bad teams we’ve had like Roy’s team, not that bad but from where we’ve been recently awful frustrating. We barely had a kick for 50 minutes. Decent last 10 tbf mostly cos Elliott made a difference. I hope we sign a player or 2. Likes of vvd and even robbo have massive miles up and it’s starting to show imo.

Giving Virgil the captaincy has made him re-up his game. Looking better than for two years.
MacAllister what a fantastic signing, and he is not even playing in his best position (which in my opinion is a sort of 10)
However i thought Trent had a poor game today, and Gakpo who has been brilliant in preseason. All this will change when a DM comes in.
And almost every decision went against us. To me the red line on Salah's goal felt as dubious as that famous Mane/Henderson VAR at Goodison.
