Get what you mean, but being so close to the top despite not really having had many Boss performances is a good thing (speaking in general terms here, not heralding tonight's showing) as it means we should improve if we go up a gear.

Yellow card aside I think Endo is quietly having a very tidy performance but a lot of "meh" out there - surprising myself by saying Szoboszlai looks the worst of our midfielders tonight - doubt we will say that often this season!

We look really slack and poor at times.
Arsenal look a level above - as they did last season. Cleaner - more efficient and play better football. We seem reliant on defenders or wonder goals.

Be really nice to start creating some consistent patterns that carve out chances. Could Nunez be the reason why we are a bit slap dash as an attacking unit.?

I am guessing - but feels like we are living on the hope that our players will always come through rather than using true footballing quality.

Szoboszlai looks like he could do with a rest, it’s been a full on start to his Liverpool career. Looks mentally tired, making numerous poor decisions in possession

He's been off it for a few games. At least we now have options to chop and chance when places need a rest. Unlike last season.

Gomez set the tone, quickly followed by Trent, Sz8, Virgil, Konate in being sloppy. Sz8 started so well but has me worried doesn't affect a game as I thought he would especially away from home.

Joe Gomez my gosh he is terrible.

    Not being funny, but wtf…

The lack of quality being shown all over the park is worrying, especially against the weakest side in the division who have only just been spanked by the 2nd from bottom team Burnley 5-0…

I really do not understand it, at times the lack of creativity, care and attention by the whole team on the ball is staggering, and WTF sort of defending was that by Konate ..the manner in the way he conceded that free kick at the end of the half was laughable…. if they had scored from that free kick we only would have ourselves to blame.

Trust me, we need to score a couple more goals because Sheff Utd will score tonight… either from a set play or a throw-in, but I can just sense it… we just lack belief and conviction all over the park, but especially in defence.. ffs can we just not have an easy comfortable win to watch now and again.

Totally agree. They're a better side in every way.
I keep hoping their luck will run out but it looks more and more likely we'll be playing for third or fourth.
We are getting results but we look far from being a well oiled machine, we look ragged in midfield quite a lot. There's very little fluency. It always seems scrappy.

Every team we play creates chances with ease, that will bite us at some point.

Yep you're right with all that.
We are certainly not boring to watch , make hard work of pretty much everyone we play.

Trent gets a rocket from Virgil for very weak defending

If we could get our passing together we would get a hatful but it’s way off from all concerned
