I wish commentators would stop banging on about Gomez never having scored for us.
For that matter I'm also not a fan of when fans at Anfield urge him to shoot whenever he has the ball.
I get the desire to see him break his duck, but at this rate it all just seems to be creating a sort of stupid and unecessary pressure for him to do so.
As long as he's playing well at doing what he's supposed to do - which is defending - I can't be arsed if he never scores for us.
This has been one of his best seasons for us, performance-wise along with the range of roles he's taken on covering almost all 4 defensive positions on top of even playing DM in the last game.
You can't put a price on versatile players like him and Milly before him.
That's worth more to me (and clearly Klopp too) than some tokenistic goal that will make some fans happy.
