I'd also add that it (probably) means 4 spots for next season's Champion's League rather than 5, so Tottenham (who still have to play Man City) will still have a serious interest in picking up points.
Not particularly hopeful, but until we are mathematically out of it, we hope.
Also due to the scheduling I think we get Fulham and Everton played before Man City play again. In the event that we won both games (we don't look like a winning side just now, granted) then we would temporarily be 4 points ahead of Man City, which may just create that tiny little bit of pressure.
