But it is real - and despite the clever phrasing by FSG’s PR this so called “interest free loan” was never anything of the sort. that’s the very point, it was 1.4 % initially and 2.4% and rising as of 2018 / payable to “the banks” by the club & crucially over and above what the club “owes” FSG… you need to dig deeper on this.

@1% Apr on a 110 mill loan over 20 years - sees interest compound to 24.2 million.

@2% Apr on a 110 mill loan over 20 years - sees interest compound to 53.5 million.

What might seem like a small saving of 1% on an interest rate could come to an odd 25-30 mill saved over 20 years.

Maybe put forth the 2 interest rates and the number of years and we can see how much money was saved, and not widely appreciated.

I used an online calculator for the above, so don't stand over the answers, can check it myself later on today if needs be.

I might be wrong, but I was under the impression that the 85m fee the media kept quoting was if all the criteria for add ons were met which I’m quite sure they haven’t been

We paid €75m plus up to €25m in add ons for Nunez, top four, League & Chsmpions League wins & appearances likely make up the bonus over the contract so we’ll barely have paid any
