    - Can our forwards press with more chemistry?
    - Can our forwards look more like a cohesive unit than 3 individuals?
    - Can we get a few more rehearsed attacking goal-scoring patterns akin to Arsenal and Man City without losing too much of our DNA?
    - Can our midfield be more compact without the ball to make us less porous?
    - Can we tweak defensive set-up so we concede less chances?
    - Can we finalise Trent's role?
    - Can we develop consistent methods of seeing out games, whether that is a well-coached defensive block, the ability to kill a game with an extra goal or developing the capacity to pass a side to death?

If we can address the above and get a few good personnel in to compliment it, then we would look promising.

The latest edition of the Anfield wrap is good, they're talking about transfers and saying that we basically need to do what Arsenal did and just pay whatever it takes to get that 6 to go alongside Mac.
Problem is there isn't a very inspiring list ( they say). I think there are a couple that spring to mind but one of them is Palinha and his age would most certainly rule him out which is a shame as he'd fit like a glove.
The guy at Atalanta Koopmeiners appears to be keen on a move to Juve.
There genuinely needs to be three players of real quality brought in without compromise. They say the 6 position has been an issue and Endo obviously wasn't the long term but they also were looking at sorting it out with the fact they bid for Caicedo.
A 6 and a CB are absolutely nailed in I'd say. Not so sure about a forward. Might not be enough money for the lot.

According to reports we are sailing close to the wind with the new FFP regulations, so we’ll have to sell to buy, for both accumulating an adequate transfer kitty and to reduce the wage bill.

While Thiago leaving helps to the tune of £200k a week, it doesn’t help with the kitty.

Edwards and his crew will have to decide whether the probable £100m Saudi bid plus getting £350k a week off the wage bill, outweighs Salah’s diminishing returns.

Apparently the new matcheday shirts are something like £120 each !!
That should help with the amount we shift,
Though I doubt DH Gate contribute towards it 🤣🤣

Liverpool's 31-year-old Egypt forward Mohamed Salah and Brazil goalkeeper Alisson Becker, 31, are among the top targets for Saudi Pro League clubs this summer. (Guardian)

Salah is one I am happy with either way honestly.

    - If he stays, great - quality player, still lots to contribute, enjoy watching him more often than not.

    - If he leaves for the right price, I'll live - maybe £100m incoming, with £350k-per week off the wage bill and moving on a player who (I want to double-check this to be fair) has apparently underperformed his xG for 3 seasons in a row now.

There are well-paid experts who are best-placed to make the call either way.

Selling Alisson though would be a dreadful decision.

In terms of freeing up wages, if (big if) we saw Salah, Matip and Thiago depart, we're talking about the guts of £550k-per week off the wage bill, which would help the FFP side of things and allow a top-up to a key contract or two.

Top keepers are rarer than rocking horse shit! I'd fancy our chances of finding a Salah replacement but not a chance finding a proper replacement for Ali.

Your not wrong there about keepers. No need to sell Mo, how can we replace a near guaranteed 15+ league goals a season. Just get Jota fit and that Dani Olmo has been linked he looks a top player looks a top player, Get him in .
It's all about Darwin Nunez this summer. I've a feeling the new manager will get him in for pre season and give him a couple of weeks to prove himself that his up to the job
