Nike kits are basically a glass of water. Bland.

Kit-designers are damned either way.
Do a classic/plain/simple design - "dull".
Do a "zaney" design so future designers can "nod to it" in future - "I don't want to wear that in public, weeeeh".
I think it would be a nice kit to win some silverware in! It's hardly the Space Invaders kit or the Magic Eye kit.

It's OK. I just prefer the retro Nike badge, I have the yellow one for that reason.
Footy classics do all the old ones, even have the adidas badge on etc.
