Match Thread: Liverpool v Crystal Palace

Wowzers, Phillips gets the call over Gomez. Nunez gets his first start.
Henderson drops to the bench to sit next to Keita, while old man Milner starts alongside young Harvey Elliott and Fabinho in the middle

    Liverpool XI:
Alisson, Alexander-Arnold, Phillips, Van Dijk, Robertson, Milner, Fabinho, Elliot, Salah, Nunez, Díaz.

Substitutes: Adrian, Gomez, Keita, Henderson, Tsimikas, Clark, Carvalho, Bajcetic, Van den Berg.

wow Elliot and Milner in midfield against a very strong Palace midfield.
I would have gone in with Henderson Fab and Keita.

Against Fulham, once Elliott and Núñez were on the pitch it really freed Salah up.

Think Klopp is giving that dynamic of Núñez/Salah/Elliott/Trent a go tonight essentially.

It's an interesting one - I do like the look of it and as strong as Palace's midfield is, I *touch wood* don't think they have all that many goals in them at the moment, so if we are going to tinker a little, it seems a relatively reasonable game within which to do it.

Our problems is the centre of the pitch... the best season we had was with Fab/hendo and wijnaldum and we won the league that season.. of course we done well last season.. but thats purely down to hard work and the scoring ratio of the Mane/ Jota and Salah.I look at at Milner and Elliot in a 3 and think NAH.

Yep it's a big ask for young Harvey. Hendo will almost certainly need to come on at some stage. Milner has been a great servant but he was too old to be effective 3 years ago. Praying that we don't suffer muscle strains tonight.

Interesting line up, depending on what Palace turn up this could be a long night.
Fit for the bench not to start.
