Week 10 results

Well after a reasonable set of scores last week some may have been hoping to follow that up with another as good, if not better score this week. Well they do say it's the hope that kills you, and if that was indeed the case there would only be one of us still alive. There have been one or two weeks were people have really struggled with their predictions, but even then there have been a few who have managed to scrape together at least a half dozen or so points, but unfortunately (for most of us anyway) this week will go down as the worst week so far in the history of LFC Online's score predictions competition.

The one person that can truly hold his head up high this week whilst laughing hysterically at everyone else is your weekly winner Justme. He top scored this week with a humongous eight points, which may on the surface seem like I'm taking the pee, but in this case I'm really not, which will become more than apparent when I tell you that out on his own in second place with a massive four points was Fayyazms, whilst a point further back there was a four way tie for third.

This week's special mentions first and foremostly obviously go to Justme for being the only person who didn't make Lawro and his predictions look like Nostradamus, largely as a result of getting two perfect scores, but also worthy of a mention was Fayyazms who was the only other person to get a scoreline spot on this week. Also worthy of a little mention given our outstanding efforts this week is CCTV who was the only person to predict that Leeds would beat the BS.

Week 10 scores

Justme = 8 points (2 perfect scores and 2 correct results -WBA v Sheff Utd & West Ham v Aston Villa)

Fayyazms = 4 points (1 perfect score and 1 correct result - West Ham v Aston Villa)

Balinkay = 3 points (3 correct results)

CCTV = 3 points (3 correct results)

Dicko1969 = 3 points (3 correct results)

Skyebo = 3 points (3 correct results)

Joetan = 2 points (2 correct results)

Kev0909 = 2 points (2 correct results)

RedNoodle = 2 points (2 correct results)

Skyebo = 2 points (2 correct results)

Charliev = 1 point (1 correct result)

Ianlfc = 1 point (1 correct result)

Reddownunder = 1 point (1 correct result)

BlackSalmon = Erm ....... No comment. :o

Current standings

So after that amazing set of week ten scores Kev0909 is still top by a single point from yours truly. Now only a point further back is CCTV who has moved up to third, whilst Dicko remains in fourth alongside Reddownunder who dropped a place, but they are now both joined by Justme, who courtesy of his week winning total has moved up from eleventh into a CL spot. This proves what I've been saying the last few weeks, that all it takes is one or two good/bad weeks for things to look very different.

Kev0909 = 58

RedNoodle = 57

CCTV = 56

Dicko1969 = 55

Justme = 55

Reddownunder = 55

Balinkay = 54

Charliev = 52

Skyebo = 52

Fayyazms = 51

Joetan = 49

Redebreck = 49

BlackSalmon = 44

Ianlfc = 44

Message for Redebreck

Last week I somehow managed to miss you off the league table, however be assured that I've made sure you're on it this week and that your score is what it should be. Soz. :o

Looking at all the effort you’ve put into this Noods, makes me wish I’d started at the beginning with you all.
I always do the Super 6 and generally win our league but this year has been a complete lottery for results, doesn’t help that Super 6 use lower leagues when there aren’t enough Saturday afternoon games, which has been every week this season.
Your way of doing it has been much better, just missing the £250,000 prize...

Yes you got two points. I don't know what happened to your weekly score (possibly due to going backwards and forwards between threads/windows, combined with a fair bit of copying and pasting), however you were more importantly included in the league table, where your score is as it should be.

Soz yet again.

Well you can join in any time you want, even if it means you might only be in the running for the 'performance of the season' award. I could/should maybe do 'player of the month' awards but I only thought about upon reading your post. If not this season, there is always the next, though things are very, very bad for me (and getting worse) so I may not be able to carry on, and I'm not just talking about the predictions competition.

As for the £250'000 prize, I'd consider it if I had managed to win the Euromillions this week, but alas the only thing I am capable of with odds that big is developing nasty ailments e.g. having just one that is only 50% less likely than winning the Euromillions (1 in 70m Vs 1 in 140m). For this season's prize I might be able to stretch to a Gregg's steak bake and a Poundland mug.

I'm torn between 1-1 and 1-2 for tonight's game, but I'm probably going to make the wrong choice whichever score I go with (especially given my 'luck' summed up in the space of one hour today), so I may as well go with my initial thought once more.

Brighton 1-1 Southampton
