Injured being played out of position. No coincidence both he and Fab keep breaking down.

Sadly this one looks season ending too.

The double whammy of entering a title defence with way too few senior CB’s and a bunch of sick notes.

Lovren departure looking even more silly now

Must have needed that £10 million really badly.. Couldn’t stretch to a £45 million net since becoming European and World Champs plus 97 and 99 points making us title winners..!

But they have backed Klopp remember

If only they could have seen the real big picture

It goes back to what i was saying last season about players bodies getting used to doing certain things, which everyone here rubbished incidentally

Whereas your post here agrees with what i saw saying

How you use and move your body playing in midfield is very different to how you use it playing at CB, you're body, especially over so many games playing at such high intensity, get very finely tuned and honed to being used a certain way and into a rythm of that, if you then start using it differently in some actions it will be working against itself and doing things that are unnatural to it and with that comes the risk of injury

It's why Hendo did his hamstring v Atletico last season, the body already fatigued from the number of games, he went from not making any long sprints, his body finely tuned and honed in a rythm of shorter 5-10 yard sprints to making 5 or 6 lung busting 50-60 yard sprints, and ping, his hamstring goes

Yep. 5m on Thiago and 5m up front on Jota wasn't it? So there's another nugget of them spending fuck all.
Out of interest would you like to see them sell up?

Thiago's transfer fee tends to be reported as being between £25m and £27.3m.

Jota's £41m which could rise to £45m depending on whatever - with us spreading the cost over the 5 years of his contract.

It was widely reported that Saddam had weapons of mass destruction. The Ox was reportedly £40 million too but was in fact less than 35

For what it is worth Transfermarkt has Thiago down as £19 million..

That would depend on who they sold up to.. They aren't the worst owners at all especially when compared with the two cowboys, but we should be able to do better. Would love to have a genuine football loving owner who was capable of letting us spend silly money from time to time without the need to haemorrhage before or immediately after.

Yes but they didn't stump up much last summer did they? Those deals were lauded because of the terms we got them on. Cheap.

Thats a very good assessment. Good but could do better. If they put money up ( and plenty of it) this summer we probably cant complain. If it were to go in a cycle of 2 or 3 great ones to one bad or indifferent one I could certainly I've with that.
We'll see what happens in the summer.
