He does know that the match is going to go down in history, as one of many of the football matches that are happening this weekend.

It'll determine the victors for this year at least, and indeed at most.

Anelka wanted 60k a week. We were offering 35.

We had one of the best defences in Europe under him too do some of the stuff said about him on here is not only disrespectful its also complete horseshit.
He got us back on track, won us trophies and established us in Europe again.
Sometimes people on here don't have a clue about the history of the club.
    2001 what a year !
We had a solid defence; Henchoz Hyypia good as any. Carra Babbel Ziege.
Young Gerrard Hamman; Barmby Litmanen ffs. Gary Mac; fowler owen Heskey Anelka .

    Who have I missed ?

The big error was just around 2002 with Diouf (the black pele hahahsha) Salif Biscan Baros etc

We were really strong 2000 to 2002 then it all faded away.

Anelka was a brilliant player and should've been kept. He came back to Anfield I think the following season and scored against us for City and was outstanding. I was at the game and if memory serves me right they won the game.

Scuffle with some other Englishmen, then swore at an officer and resisted arrest. Tried to hit the cop apparently.
