Oh - I dunno. From my perspective for the benefit of sanity? And a little bit of a wind up.

To counter the constant and ridiculous claim that he only scores penalties and that we are being singled out for bad decisions while United are getting them handed on a plate.

Element of truth that we have been hard done by BUT we have benefitted well the previous few seasons too.

If Fernandes was in a Liverpool shirt many on here would be calling him the best player in the world.

Fair enough then. I can get behind that.

Though tbf I've never seen anyone claim he scores only penos seriously (even though he gets more than his fair share of those) or that he's not a good player. Hell, in the last few months I don't think I've seen anyone claim he's not excellent / world class!

And I do think there have been some shocking decisions against us this year (considering the somewhat ridiculous new rules and precedent) and some insane decisions in their favour.

The last bit is definitely true though - we do wear our red specs.


But just to even it out - a certain poster on here was foaming at the mouth begging the Gods that FSG sign Bruno before he went to United. A certain expert in hand-to-hand combat and mirror trainer par excellence! Most of us thought he was a good player and that's it but months earlier he'd already recognised just what a special footballer they'd be getting.

Quite a few knew of Bruno’s prowess tbf - but yes 19 was absolutely spot on - as he often is btw - he went on about it ( some believed too much ) and some laughed and they now have egg on their face - because he was 100% correct
