    Looking at the statistics

In fact 44,000 more than previous Aprils

    8,000 more in May

Then the rest of the months are like for like more or less.

So an extra 52,000 than the norm.

As said before the flu in 2000 took many lives. Maybe an excess of 60,000 to 80,000 back in 2000.

Seems like the UK is going into lockdown mode, apart from england for whatever reason.

I suppose we're doing well to everywhere else

It's a bit like the standard of refereeing in the Premier League, no fecking consistency. Different countries have different approaches to the virus, none of them the same approach.

Not like people from england will travel to wales in a few weeks when the lockdown opens again, it's completely pointless for just one place to go into lockdown.

Another reason the tier system won't work

Doesn't seem to be helping at the moment anyway, neither does the 10pm closes, or wearing masks indoors.

Bit off topic but my area has 170 cases per 100,000 other areas are in "tier 2" with less, so how does that work?

Don't worry Kev, I'm sure they're following the science.

If they got really scientific about it then perhaps 170 cases per 100,000 in an area of young fit types would be a different proposition to the same rate of infection in an area full of elderly care homes and bame diabetics.

He has indeed. Deserves all the plaudits too. Very moving to see a talented young lad who hasn’t been ruined by the money. Very rare - restores faith in humanity.

Shame there are no fans because United player or not he would be getting a genuine applause at Anfield - which would send a very powerful message out.
