I think the overwhelming majority still support the measures, if not wishing to see stronger restrictions. And the Opposition’s main criticism is that the restrictions have come too late and are too soft.

They're NOT opposition, it is the Blair twat project MK2 both main parties again batting for the same side to ensure the establishments status quo is maintained whoever wins the next election

The 'oppositionn' can't say shit, Sir Keir let Saville of the hook to avoid any awkwardness for a former PM who had a very close relationship with him and absolutely knew what he was, because M16 whose job it is to know such things to avoid national scandal sure as shit will have known, well, that twat was the first to start the 'What's your exit strategy' bollocks

On the antisemitism BS someone answer me this

Just how is it that Goldstein and Epstein can be justly criticised for their transgressions and that's not antisemitism

Yet for their continual breaches of international law and brutality and murdering of Palestinian people any just criticism is allegedly antisemitism?

And how is it that the co-op and other ethical supermarkets who refuse to stock any produce from Israel from illegally occupied territories are also the subject of continued accusations of antisemitism from the same people?

    Because it's a fucking nonsense

Were British forces in Ireland labelled anti Roman Catholic?

Were all those who fought to end apartheid in South Africa considered anti Roman Catholic?

Were all those who criticise Saudi Arabia for their carpet bombing and ethnic cleansing of the people of Yemen considered anti muslim?

No they weren't in any of those cases, because as is the case with Israel, criticism off their government and security forces for their appalling behavior has fuck all to do with their faith practiced in that country, their faith is purely incidental as it is in all the other examples

The entire fake antisemitism purported worldwide by Israel is merely a method of trying to shut down and stop all the wholely just criticism of the Israeli government for its continuing atrocities and breaches of international law and our gov and every gov worldwide who indulges them because it suits their purposes and ability to attack political opponents absolutely disgrace every single member of the allied forces of WW2 and all those who lost their lives fighting Hitler's forces which led to the most atrocious and appalling atrocity in human history, the holocaust, being discovered and stopped

I think that's correct but I also think people have grown tired of the fight a long time ago. Going into lockdown every few months will not work, it probably wont work as well this time. There arent as many restrictions this time around but it's still bad. People in the leisure and hospitality industry must be livid (the furlough scheme extended and on 80%) but a theres a fair amount of people and their business that rely on the xmas trade and theres a full month wiped out and this is after being left hung out to dry previously.

The most annoying thing is the yet again the conflict of opinion and information. Theres plenty of opinion and reports that lockdowns are not working but every major govt in Europe is going with that option.

    Apart from Sweden.

I’m afraid my conspiracy-theory-ometer is now setting off sirens and bells. The fact the science tells us this lockdown won’t make a blind bit of difference to the progress of this disease just rams home the sense that something else is going on.

The destruction of the economy of Europe and submission of its Independant workers. Look out for universal basic income, the Great Reset, the New Green Economy, Klauss Schwab and the World Economic Forum’s plans for a communist replacement of capitalism, centrally managed through United Nations agencies, Lagarde, Soros, Gates - they all see this an an ‘opportunity’, rising civil unrest (with protestors described as right wing extremists), probably revolution and maybe civil war. I’m afraid that’s the way I see it.

So people’s lack of energy to oppose the ruin of their independence and livelihood is a great shame. I think we could still safeguard Britain from the full effects of this debacle but I doubt it now. Human nature is too predictable.

Michael gove already saying it could be longer than a month!!!!

how about shut down eductational settings to i know it's not great doing that but... 50% of the spread is within them ffs

Don't lock everyone down unless it's REALLY going to make a difference

the cases might drop quite a bit, but not enough and soon as it's lifted it'll be spread, whereas a proper lockdown would make a difference to the point we'd have the same cases as in the summer.

It's hard to tell whether the government is stupid or something more sinister. Their handling of this virus reads like a message from the covid casino: "Roulette system working well, send more money!"

Perhaps it is more sinister and the lockdown was announced to celebrate Bill Gates 65th birthday.

Boris says we have more doctors and nurses now, so what's with all those unused nightingale field hospitals?

We know Boris doesn't like working weekends but why is Gove speaking up today? good cop bad cop?

Some people are protesting the lockdown, but yesterdays freedom rally somehow didn't make the news.

They are saying that if it Carrie's on the way it is then the hospitals will be over capacity including the nightingale ones.
Gove is probably planning a military coup the sly fucking weasel.
