He won't have played a single minute of European club football yet costs more than Ronaldo? I know inflation is a thing, but these Oil clubs really take the cake when it comes to distorting the market.

    Maddison will be £75m next.
Can you imagine how much Steven Gerrard would be worth in this market?

Kane and Grealish together can’t lace Stevies boots in my humble opinion.

Charlie Austin will be going for £60m at this rate !!!

Its no good moaning about City/Chelsea the horse has already bolted they can spend what they like and nobody challanges it in the media.

Why do people think some clubs wanted the ESL it was to keep up that is why.

The ESL in the formal presented was rubbish but if they made it abit fairer then its bound to appear again.

186 goals Stevie got for us. Not sure how many he had scored by the time he was Grealish's age (25?) but Jack will struggle to replicate those numbers, even in a set-up as attacking as City's.

That's the mad thing about Stevie's numbers as well - played under Houllier and Benitez when in his prime and both were defensively-leaning managers.

A time machine and 25-29 year old Gerrard in Klopp's set-up is the stuff of dreams in terms of goals, assists and a free-kick specialist.

Tricky one for Southampton. £30 million for a 29 year old injury prone Ings with 12 months left on his contract is good business but they could be in serious trouble without his goals

Sheffield United are hoping to sign Ben Davies on loan from Liverpool. The 25-year-old English defender has not made a single appearance for the Reds since signing from Preston in January. (Goal)

Liverpool and Switzerland winger Xherdan Shaqiri, 29, is the subject of interest from Serie A side Lazio after telling the Anfield hierarchy of his desire to leave the club. (Corriere dello Sport - in Italian)

Atletico Madrid midfielder Saul Niguez's representatives are attempting to engineer a move to Liverpool, however, the Reds remain unconvinced the 26-year-old Spain international wants to move to Anfield. (CaughtOffside)

I think we need to get a midfielder in as a priority. Thiago has a niggle before a ball is kicked, Henderson unlikely to be fit for the start of league and has started to pick up injuries. Kieta and ox wont stay fit as many have already said. We need to strengthen here. Is saul the answer?
I have seen him a handful of times and he never truly stood out.
