Agree. How in earth has it got to a point where a footballer is earning half a million per week?
Theres people who cant afford to eat and that is happening.
PSG and City are the prime culprits for the absolutely absurd prices we now have in football. Theres always been desperate clubs but they took it to another level.

    It is absolutely sick..

It is also facilitated because many people just accept it. They believe it will never change and become part of the problem.

But then again I myself pay for Sky despite taking a moral view and hate for all things Murdoch. We are - many of us hypocrites.

How about Messi teaming up with Ronaldo for a few last and glorious seasons for them both?

It is insane, but this is the way the world works - like that Portuguese doctor said "You get Corona when you pay doctors 2000 Euro a month and footballers - 200 000 Euro a week. Go to Ronaldo and ask him for a cure." (or something along those lines).

This doctor has a high opinion of himself. I’m not sure how many people with coronavirus he will have cured. Maybe he wonders why we don’t all meet to sing songs about how he runs down the wing, I mean, writes prescriptions for Omeprazole.

Maybe he wonders why gentlemen.in bars in cities like Ouagadougou and Coimbatore aren’t heatedly discussing which hospital he is being transferred to, which specialisation he is best suited to, what a mess he made of his recent flu vaccine accounts or what position Jose Mourinho should play him.

It was a "she" actually. But like I said - it's the way the world works - wether or not that should be the case is age-old debate.

Ornstein at the Athletic reporting Messi has had discussions with Guardiola.

Never mind sorting out the defensive side of things when you lost 25% of your games - can beat teams 6-0 instead of 5-0 now

In all seriousness, if City added Messi and they didn't win the League or Champion's League, Pep surely has to go - and how many managers out there, Klopp aside, take them to a much higher level than they're at right now?

Also the absolute fume of their fans if we grinded our way to League Title no. 20 after they had added Messi to their ranks would be just bliss - and it's the exact sort of challenge that Milner, Henderson, Robertson etc. would absolutely relish.

Apparently it'll be very hard for messi to leave this year.

Reports the club has the power

I can't see them easily letting him go for nothing no matter how unhappy he is or whatever

Former Barcelona president Joan Gaspart says he has seen Lionel Messi's contract, and believes he cannot leave on a free this summer.

Gaspart says the clause in his contract ended in June, and believes he will leave next summer when his contract is up.

"He cannot leave," Gaspart told Radio MARCA. "He will have to leave in 2021. "I have seen the contract and it is very clear.

"The clause ended in June and there is no going back. I prefer him to leave next year for zero than to go now for less than 700m euros.

"The club is in charge here, not the player. The club paid the players. And this is not a matter of money, there is a signed contract and that's it."

Both Bayern and Liverpool saying they have had absolutely no contact over Thiago. All of the noise has been media hype click bait and when he goes elsewhere FSG will get dog’s abuse for dragging it out and low balling for a player Jürgen was never interested in, in the first place.
