Must be due to him wanting a longer deal than the club are prepared to offer. An impasse of sorts. I'm pretty sure he wont be allowed to run that deal down. No way FSG will allow that.

There was chat a while back from a few journos about us offering a 3-year deal and him wanting a 4-year deal.

Never was able to trace the original source of it so wouldn't take it as Gospel, but it's not exactly a far-fetched scenario.

I have a bad feeling about this season if we dont add a bit more quality. Its so easy to go stale..I know the players and manager wont want that..But if you dont start playing well early on..It could play a roll in the rest of the season.

@justme, I'm sure there will be some quality added. If it isn't then it's a case of FSG resting on laurels. Surely they realise it would be a mistake in doing so. Time will tell but I genuinely think we'll bring in atleast 1 or 2 good quality additions.
