    Given that he's 'free', I can definitely see him being on FSG's radar, even if he isn't on Klopp's.

    2 goals in 33 games isn’t the best return is it, but he was a young (21 / 22) lad then so you’d hope he would have improved a bit.

    Still not a player that I’d be happy or excited about signing but as noods says, fits the FSG model perfectly

    I wouldn't mind Depay as a Shaqiri replacement

    I'd be delighted to have Depay on board. Has developed since his United days and is low-risk.

    Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has said the club are unlikely to buy a striker this summer to replace the outgoing Sergio Aguero.

    City confirmed on Monday that Aguero, 32, will leave when his contract expires at the end of the season.

    Guardiola has been looking at options, with Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Braut Haaland, 20, at the top of the list of potential targets.

    However, Guardiola feels the fees currently being quoted are too high.

    "I don't know what is going to happen but at these prices we are not going to buy any striker," he said.

    "It's impossible. We cannot afford it. All the clubs are struggling financially, us as well.

    He really is a slimey little man.. they cant afford it.. yet paid 65 million and 40+ million for 2 defenders in the summer.

    @Justme

    I just logged on in order to post the exact same quote. The guy is either completely self unaware, has some serious nerve, or says such things because he knows it will irk a lot of people.

    Well Klopp will have to take what he's given by the big boss(es). I'd like him to demand that they give him the funds/players he needs, and that he doesn't retreat or surrender when it comes to getting those things, however I fear that he'll kowtow to them and their wishes. Maybe our benevolent owners will find another Southampton to raid, and as a result they might get a little bit of redemption.
