There really isnt many top class strikers around when you think about it.

I guess you could sell him for £100-120m and buy 3 good players but it isnt as simple as that as we saw with the Suarez money.

Spurs lose him and it could lead to Son going to and then you become Arsenal/West Ham/Everton !

I'm not sure about Kabak. He's a decent defender but he doesn't have the pace to play a high line. Maybe that's why Klopp is targeting Konate

You dont really need to be pacey just read the game well. I have been quite impressed with Kabak. hes done whats been expected.. But if we can do better then im all for it. same with other positions

In an ideal World we'd get Kabak AND Konate.

However, if Gomez and Van Dijk end up fit and firing, having £52m of centre-back signings (plus their combined wages) on the bench not playing very much maybe doesn't look the sharpest.

Guess it comes down to how much we (Klopp/Edwards/FSG/whoever else) value having cover after this season. I think many of us would rather be "too" prepared at that side of the pitch after the way this season has transpired than not.
