NEW: Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has impressed Liverpool coaches in training when operating further up the pitch, and will be considered for the number 10 and wide forward roles next season. #awlive [liverpool echo]

    So that leaves us with
    Virgil
    Matip
    Konate
    Gomez
    Philips
    R-Williams

You can't rely on Matip or Gomez. will be back to 3 fit defenders. Maybe we will be keeping Philips?

It seems that way but he was only signed as cover and he to some degree did his job although we didn’t need him.

With 3 of our CBs coming back from serious injuries no way we let Williams Phillips and Davies go in the same window one of them will stay.

    Isn't awful all things considered.

Within the last year we've signed one of the best midfielders in the World, a £45 million forward to rotate and a £35 million central defender who may become first choice but isn't, yet. During the biggest financial crisis since The Great Depression. Not too shabby really. We'll always want more of course.

Not too shabby compared to Norwich or West Brom I agree.

There has been abit of bollocks about us always having to sell first before buying.

Last summer we signed Thiago Tsimikas Jota for first team and in reality only sold one first teamer Lovren.

Brewster/Hoever were potential players but at the minute the £30m we got for them is looking smart business.

We gambled on centre backs last season just like City did when they didnt replace Kompany.
