Few reports saying we are going to match the 86k a week that BD have offered Malen and we may offer cash pus players for him.

To be fair we finished 18 points ahead of City in 19/20 and 33 points ahead of Man United as well. Then in that Summer, all three clubs added three noteworthy players -

Liverpool added Tsimikas, Thiago and Jota.
City added Ake, Dias and Torres.
Man United added Telles, Van De Beek and Cavani. The only person we let go of from our first team squad was Lovren, while City on the other hand lost Sane and Silva.

I'd argue we strengthened more than City and Man United. Then we were unfortunate to be crippled with one of the worst injury crisis situations in the history of club football during a global pandemic, leaving us very short in a key area of the pitch - defence - where we still conceded less goals than that of Man United's defence, despite theirs costing considerably more.

Now we've signed a potential beast in Konate, and will likely strengthen when we can - squad spots is an issue, homegrown players is an issue and we can't force people to buy Origi, Shaqiri etc - but we'll get our chance.

Also, when it comes to the media, forums and Twitter, people freak out about what other clubs MIGHT do. City MIGHT get Kane and Grealish, just as Chelsea MIGHT get Haaland, but until they turn up at those clubs and revolutionise their play it's all conjecture.

We are also particularly private about our business in terms of leaks (versus the "transfer sagas" of many clubs) and the lack of chatter can "feel like" Edwards etc are doing bugger all, when in reality they are laying groundwork all the time for future business. We'll want to see where we are with what SHOULD we a less injury-ravaged squad and see how we go from there. We recruit intelligently, have wonderful players, have a wonderful manager and (for now it seems) should have fans back at Anfield, for at least some of the season.

Plus the window hasn't "slammed shut" yet.

    We'll be grand.

He is most likely to go to Dortmund for a few reasons.

He is going to start for them and with his agent liking to put realese clause in his contract.

He is the type of player we look at good age, can play a few positions and pace up front.

Barca may also freeze Philippe Coutinho out of first-team action if they fail to offload the Brazilian playmaker, 29, this summer. Coutinho is 10 games away from activating a clause which would see the La Liga club pay Liverpool an extra £17.1m, having signed him from the Premier League side in January 2018. (AS - in Spanish)

In theory, he could do a good job for them!
How many games has he played for them?

Well its funny seeing em in this state they didnt mind playing Billy big balls taking Mach Suarez Coutinho off us.

Its all coming home to roost for them now maybe they will have to do what they used to do and play youngsters.

Used to respect Barca but they then turned into Madrid II with splashing the cash they clearly dont have.

    Think it's 90 with Barca - 24 goals.

38 appearances with 11 goals for Bayern.

Liverpool striker Taiwo Awoniyi is set to complete a £6.5m move to Union Berlin. Fee agreed, medical to take place later today.

Marko Grujic is also on his way out. The midfielder is in Portugal to finalise a move to FC Porto.

Two out would be a really, really good start.

I think I had it worked out that we need 4 out to bring 1 one and 5 out to bring 2 in - could of course have my maths wrong - to manage balancing incoming transfers with the 25-man squad/homegrown situation.
