It's good to see financial fair play is alive and well in France.

What Sid is saying is (suspect he hasn’t grasped it himself) we can’t actually afford to compete. Best we can do is try to hold onto what we have.
This is something many of us already feared.
Without a Coutinho - or similar bonkers sell to buy - there is no silverware to be had even with the best manager around. We are treading water in a lucrative top 4 CL money league.
So when they laugh and jeer at Barca - they should instead be thanking them for their naïveté in accidentally facilitating our successes.
It’s a crazy world.

FFP is and always was a farce.
To be fair to PSG they didn’t go for ESL - but then nor would City or Chelsea had us and United not been instrumental driving it.
They just don’t need the cash - they already have it in spades.
The whole sport is becoming a farce
Dont think French/German teams were allowed to go for it.
Agreed PSG dont need to either.
If UEFA had sorted out FFP properly then it wouldnt have happened.
Not sure much can be done to stop it only way is these owners walk away.
You really shouldnt have to spend 100s of millions a season to win a trophy but its getting to that stage now.
At some point football has to eat itself surely? It's just obscene.
I think the tail of the snake is very much in its' own jaws as we speak to be fair. More people are drifting away from the game, or aren't far off it - or even just those who change allegiances.
Remember that group of Arsenal fans? They worked out that seeing Dortmund (including booking travel and accommodation in advance) was going to be cheaper than seeing their own team at the price quoted at the time, so (don't know if they still do it) there was a decent number of fellas going from London to Germany to see games and make a trip of it, as opposed to going to the Emirates.
Can foresee a lot of people in certain age groups gravitating towards watching more grass-roots stuff.

Sid knows he's crazy and he likes it. Balinkay
Maybe FiFA should come in and make a transfer cap. any player cant be sold for over say 60 million?.
Its bizarre a team can spend 250 million during a pandemic.. Lower the transfer fees.
