Well, if it's any consolation (.....okay, maybe wrong word choice), this transfer window is proceeding according to script.

With Robbo now picking what seems to be a serious injury, you can pretty much telegraph what's going to happen from here on out.

Probably another serious injury picked up in the last preseason game or in training by another critical player in a thinly covered position, and the club is forced into a panic buy on the last day of the window, where they either get chiselled by a club that knows we're desperate, or we get a lousy deal or loan deal for a player who's probably not even going to get that much playing time as an unimpressed Klopp is forced to play other players out of position to cover the injured player(s).

And then those players (probably Milly, Hendo and/or Fabby) pick up their own injuries from playing out of their natural positions or being over-used and over-extended, .......but only too late in the January window for the club to do anything about as the club gets caught flat-footed......AGAIN,.......as if they didn't see the window coming at the same time.....Every. Single. Year!

Fast forward to the end of the season when all our silverware hopes are gone from having persevered with a thin squad and barely squeezing into the final Champions League spot on the final day, the club is Johnny-on-the-spot in the first day of the window opening buying replacement players they should have bought a year ago, and then patting themselves on the back for a job well done getting their business done early, as we go through another long summer not addressing any actual long-standing holes as we watch our rivals get stronger.

    Wash.
    Rinse.
    Repeat.

It’s like they think that those 2 seasons of massive points totals with basically 14 players are the rule rather than the exception. Mental stuff.

Thats 100% accurate. We wait until players contracts run down at other clubs and hope to get players on the cheap.. Even then if the selling club is asking to much, we move along to another target. In the sense is all about saving money..

One of the reasons FSG was so steadfast on the super league is so that the club could pay for its own way.. Rather than them paying out their own pocket. Similar to why they tried furlough the staff. Now the club is dealing with paying the wages. Its less money in transfers.

I try and be fair and ive been accused of moaning and groaning over it by a couple of chatters on here.I just see our transfer business as mind boggling..Since we signed Allison 3 seasons ago. We have bought Jota. paid by sales of players. same with Konata.. And Thiagos deal has been structured over 5 seasons.

Klopp said we might make some signings.
    Probably a left back now.

Nothing like a new left back signing to get the juices flowing for the new season.

Robbo's injury looked a sore one. Id say Not a break but ligaments , so maybe 4 to 6 weeks out.

We have Tsimikas and Milner, so we won’t be buying a Left Back.

Maybe Tsimikas might get a chance now. Knowing Klopp he’ll probably play Milner there instead.

I was joking about the left back.
Milner will get more minutes than El Greco.
