Well, if it's any consolation (.....okay, maybe wrong word choice), this transfer window is proceeding according to script.
With Robbo now picking what seems to be a serious injury, you can pretty much telegraph what's going to happen from here on out.
Probably another serious injury picked up in the last preseason game or in training by another critical player in a thinly covered position, and the club is forced into a panic buy on the last day of the window, where they either get chiselled by a club that knows we're desperate, or we get a lousy deal or loan deal for a player who's probably not even going to get that much playing time as an unimpressed Klopp is forced to play other players out of position to cover the injured player(s).
And then those players (probably Milly, Hendo and/or Fabby) pick up their own injuries from playing out of their natural positions or being over-used and over-extended, .......but only too late in the January window for the club to do anything about as the club gets caught flat-footed......AGAIN,.......as if they didn't see the window coming at the same time.....Every. Single. Year!
Fast forward to the end of the season when all our silverware hopes are gone from having persevered with a thin squad and barely squeezing into the final Champions League spot on the final day, the club is Johnny-on-the-spot in the first day of the window opening buying replacement players they should have bought a year ago, and then patting themselves on the back for a job well done getting their business done early, as we go through another long summer not addressing any actual long-standing holes as we watch our rivals get stronger.
