Of course. If there's any legitimacy to the links, you'd wonder why the Saints might think they'd be successful? Yes, he isn't getting 30+ starts for us this season, but still! Recent League champions, recent European champions.

    Weirdos!

I wouldnt loan out Ox and I dont think we will.

Southampton might be scared to buy him in case they go down and are then stuck with him on say £80k a week.

If they want him they should hand over £20-25m for him.

I wouldnt be surprised if we are after Cunha who has just played at the Olympics.

Not sure what he'd cost but if we move Origi it looks like we will sign someone

I do think we will want to wean one of Ox or Keita out of the squad over the next year or two with a view to replacing one (just can't be trusted injury-wise, Wijnaldum is gone, Milner will be gone) of them, but again, a LOAN of Ox just seems odd. Hopefully nothing in it.

Some small/tenuous links to Gibbs White from Wolves. At 21 and being home-grown he would tick a couple of boxes, but, needless to say, players need to be good enough.
Elliot going out on loan would be silly. Think a season with Blackburn, practically being their best player is enough for me to say he’s ready. Even if it is as a bench warmer/impact sub.

If he goes out on loan, I think that will be the end of his career with us

Yeah think we'll keep elliot, because unlike other clubs we can't sign players very often, so... makes sense not loaning him

Rather see him off the bench than a few of the other options...

Already looks a better option than Ox.

This maybe extreme wishful thinking, but if Ox and Keita can stay fit for this season - that really changes our options in midfield and how we play. When thinking of our line-up I pretty much discount them especially Keita. That injury he got when we loaned him back really has cost us.

The loan link was Ox going to Southampton on loan (I know, odd) not Elliott.

I too would be gutted if Elliott went on loan. Think his future for us is huge and hopefully Gordon/Musialowski aren't far behind on that score.

WE still need someone else on the left in my opinion

Reads to me like he doesn’t want Elliot loaned? Salah plays on the right!
